Marcus Deller, Owner

I started Servo in 2015 after watching too many homeowners in Stafford and Missouri City get a verbal “ballpark” that somehow doubled once the truck was in the driveway. That doesn’t happen here. I hold the Texas contractor license for this location, and I’m the one who answers when the office line rings at midnight and a customer says their door is hanging by one cable. My specialty is torsion spring systems on older homes in the Stafford area, especially the 1980s-era Wayne Dalton setups that are still running in neighborhoods like Colony Lakes and The Meadows. I keep a whiteboard in the shop with every active job noted in dry-erase marker - old habit from when it was just me and one van. Off the clock, I restore vintage Honda motorcycles and I’m slowly losing a battle against Bermuda grass in my yard.

James R., Lead Technician

James has been turning wrenches on garage doors for fourteen years, the last six with us in Stafford. He’s the technician other companies call when they can’t figure out why a Genie screw drive keeps stripping its trolley carriage after “repair.” His certification is with LiftMaster’s commercial operator program, which means he handles the heavy-duty jackshaft installations for local businesses along Staffordshire Road and the warehouse doors out by the Beltway. She’s our lead on new door installations, particularly the insulated Clopay Coachman and Amarr Classica lines that homeowners in Stafford’s newer developments keep requesting. Her specialty is precision framing - she can spot a header that’s out of level by an eighth-inch before the door leaves the truck, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hanging a 16-foot double in Stafford’s clay-heavy soil where foundations shift. Elena keeps a notebook of every installation she’s done, with the customer’s name and the date, going back to her first week. He’s been with Servo since 2017, and before that he dispatched for a commercial HVAC outfit, so he knows how to triage a stressed caller and get the right technician moving with the right parts. Darnell manages our scheduling, our parts inventory alerts, and the photo record system - he’s the one who makes sure every customer gets their documentation packet within an hour of the technician clearing the job. He’s not a wrench-turner, but he can walk a homeowner through a manual release on a Chamberlain belt drive well enough to get their car out until we arrive. Darnell grew up in Stafford, graduated from Stafford High School in 2009, and still lives three miles from the shop. He knows which streets flood in a hard rain and which ones have the low-hanging oak branches that scratch a service van if you’re not careful.

Tyler M., Apprentice Technician

Tyler started with us in 2023 after completing a mechanical trades program at Houston Community College. He’s in his second year of apprenticeship, which means he’s cleared to handle spring replacements and opener installs under supervision, and he’s building his hours toward his own Texas door systems license. Tyler’s current specialty is learning to diagnose logic board failures on modern smart openers - the kind where the app says everything’s fine but the door still reverses for no visible reason. He’s meticulous about his photo records, sometimes taking more documentation shots than Marcus requires, which nobody complains about. Tyler lives with his grandparents in Missouri City and drives a 2007 Tacoma with 287,000 miles on it. He’s the reason we now stock a specific Raynor torsion spring that was discontinued in 2019 but still shows up on homes in the Quail Run subdivision.

Every technician on this page carries a tablet loaded with the same photo record software we started using in 2015. Every one of them has been background-checked and wears a uniform with their name on it, not a generic logo.
